The data-driven economy that is being shaped by the digital transformation differs in numerous ways from the industrial and knowledge-based economy that preceded it; these differences have disruptive implications in a number of dimensions. In this distinguished lecture, Prof. Dan Ciuriak will discuss the implications of different features of data-driven emerging economies in terms of national economic and industrial policy, trade, development, and the nature of international institutions required to manage these economies.
